Biographies
Jeremy
Gender (Herbert Pocket, Lieutenant, Tailor)
Jeremy is a senior theatre student at Point Park
University. Local credits include: Dog and Pony
Show's RHINO, Saints and Poets' Saffronia,
Playhouse Junior's The Jungle Book, Playhouse
Conservatory Company's A Flea in Her Ear,
Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Two Gentlemen
of Verona, and The Philadelphia Story.
Daniel
Keitel (Young Pip) Daniel is a fifth
grader at Minadeo Elementary School where he serves
on the safety patrol. Daniel is on the high honor
roll and has been Student of the Month every month
for the past five years. He is looking forward
to attending Community Day School for Middle School.
So far Daniel has been concentrating on the cinema,
appearing in the independent films Becoming
Rachel and Hideous Orange Vase. He
has also appeared in staged readings at City Theatre.
Daniel is an avid theatergoer, having attended
over seventy productions including five Broadway
shows. Daniel is proud to hold a Black Belt from
USA Karate.
Gunther
Kusior (Magwitch) is appearing his
second time with Prime Stage after working with
them on Gatherings in Graveyards. Gunther
has worked with various theater companies around
the city such as the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Pittsburgh
Playwrights, the Summer Company, Veronica's Veil,
and Gemini Theater, where he holds the title of
Director of Marketing and Outreach. He has two
children plays produced, Journey Back to OZ
and Winnie the Pooh's Surprise Birthday Party.
Favorite credits include Dorothy 6, Dear Brutus,
Three Sisters, and Alice In Wonderland.
Kori
Mallon (Estella) Kori is a Senior at
Point Park University, graduating in May with
her BFA in Theatre Arts. She was last seen as
Sheila Franklin in the Conservatory's production
of Hair. Other credits include Nine
Days in the Sun (Pittsburgh Playwrights),
Caesonia in Caligula (directed by Ngozi
Anyanwu), On the Town, Anything Goes, Hans
Brinker, and The Jungle Book.
Kendra
McLaughlin (Miss Havisham) As a child
therapist with Mercy Behavioral Health, Ms. McLaughlin
enjoys inspiring young people and appreciates
the mission of Prime Stage Theatre. She is delighted
to be performing with them once again. Previously,
she had worked with Prime Stage as Mae Tuck in
Tuck Everlasting. Other theatre credits
include: Mrs. Nesbit in Open Stage Theatre's production
of My Sweetheart's the Man in the Moon,
Donna in Break Room for Pittsburgh Playwrights,
Mama in Little Lake Theatre's I Remember Mama,
as well as Lady Capulet in their production of
Romeo and Juliet, and Mrs. Webb in the
Pittsburgh Project's Our Town. Movie credits
include Nurse Holtzman in Graduation and
Jennifer in Mothman Prophecies.
Chelsea
Mervis (Young Estella) Chelsea is a
9th grade theater major at the High School for
Performing Arts (CAPA) and previously attended
the middle school for performing arts (Rogers
CAPA). Chelsea was a finalist four years in a
row and winner twice in the Public Theatre's Annual
Shakespeare Contest. Her professional debut was
for Point Park's Rep Company, portraying Morse
in their production of One Flea Spare.
Carter
Redwood (Young Herbert, Stable Boy)
Carter is no stranger to the stage. He has performed
with The Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company,
Kuntu Repertory Theatre, New Horizon Theater and
the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Some of his roles
include: Andre in When the Water Turns Clear,
Young Blue in Blue, Reuben in Joe Turner's
Come and Gone for the inaugural "August
in February" show in 2004, and Young Jelly in
Jelly's Last Jam. He had the wonderful
opportunity to perform "Off Broadway" at Dodger
Stages in New York with the Broadway Artists Alliance
in August 2005. This is his first appearance with
Prime Stage. One Flea Spare.
Olivia Petzy (Biddy, Clara Barley, A
Pocket) Olivia is a sophomore musical theatre
major at Point Park University. She has been seen
at Point Park in The Philadelphia Story
(May) and Bag Lady (College Woman). Past
credits include Side by Side by Sondheim
(Woman One), Into the Woods (Baker's Wife),
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Snoopy)
and Once Upon a Mattress (Princess Winifred).
Originally from Boston, Olivia is thrilled to
make her Prime Stage debut.
Joel
Ripka (Pip) This is Joel's first production
with Prime Stage. A graduate of Point Park College
Conservatory of Fine Arts, Joel has acted with
many companies around Pittsburgh, including the
Unseam'd Shakespeare Company, the Jewish Theatre
of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Repertory Company,
and the Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre.
He was recently seen as Bunce in The REP Company's
One Flea Spare, and Carl in the Irish and
Classical production of Henry. **equity

Jaime
Slavinsky (Mrs. Joe, Molly, Pocket) Jaime
has worked with many theatre companies in the
Burgh including City Theatre, Playhouse Rep, Unseame'd
Shakespeare and Pittsburgh Playwrights, among
many others. Favorite credits include Joyce Carol
Oates/Nancy in Recent Tragic Events (River's
Edge/Dogs in the Night), Vera in Robert Isenberg's
Twenty Questions (Pittsburgh New Works
Festival), Elain in The Miss Firecracker Contest
(Little Lake) and Justine in the locally produced
docu-drama "The Other Side of the River"
for PBS. Education: BA Theatre Arts, Point Park
College. Training: Atlantic Theatre Co. Acting
School, NYC.
Jerry
Summers
(Jaggers, Compeyson, Clergyman) Jerry was
trained at the Studio Arena Theatre School in
Buffalo, NY. Some of his credits include the roles
of Mike in Wait Until Dark, Azdak in The
Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Clovis in Mother
Hicks. Jerry continued his acting education
at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and since then
has taken the stage at Carnegie Mellon University
as Charlie in Death of a Salesmen, at Little
Lake Theatre as Brophy in Arsenic and Old Lace
and as Richard in Moon Over Buffalo. Last
year, Jerry was cast as Doc in Come Back, Little
Sheba at McKeesport Little Theatre. Most recently
he played Schuppanzign in Black Comedy
at Open Stage Theatre. Jerry is a production manager
with a group of radio stations in the Pittsburgh
area.
Mark
Tierno (Joe Gargery, Aged Parent, Porter,
Prison Doctor) Mark can be seen opposite French
star Dominique Pinon (Amelie) in the recent
Hughes Dalton/Jeff Garton film Lift, winner
of over twenty first-place awards at film festivals
around the country. He also appears as Wild Bill
Turner in Matt Green's soon to be released low-budget
action thriller, Loaded Dice, with Tom
Savini; and as a nerdy gang member, Mike Lee,
in Captain Blasto, a delightful coming
of age comedy about a not so superhero. His stage
work, both here and in New York, includes Starlight's
Death of a Salesman, Dog and Pony's Grimm,
the world premiere of Reservoir Dogs, the
Off-Broadway premiere of The Gift of Stone,
and Tony 'n Tina's Wedding at Station Square
where he played Father Mark. Recent television
commercials include the Pennsylvania Lottery,
and the sleazy and greasy tow truck driver who
doesn't go to Pruni Auto.
Tim
Winski (Wemmick, Pumblechook, Bentley Drummel)
has been performing in the Pittsburgh area for
the last five years and is happy to be working
at Prime Stage Theatre with so many good friends.
He is currently involved in the up-and-coming
Pillow Project Dance Company and will perform
with the group again at the end of April.
