During
that time he was instrumental in the growth
and development of numerous playwrights, screenwriters
and actors. His acting credits include but are
not limited to roles in South Park Theatre productions:
R.P. McMurphy in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's
Nest", Mortimer Brewster in "Arsenic and Old
Lace", Uncle Louie in "Lost in Yonkers" and
Alan Seymour in "Picnic"; Freeport Theatre Festival
productions: Richard Dudgeon in "The Devil's
Disciple", Algernon in "The Importance of Being
Earnest", John Harbison in "Massey Harbison"
and its first revival (1998,99), Detective Trotter
in "The Mousetrap," Mr. Perry in "The Prime
of Miss Jean Brodie and Christopher Gist in
"Washington in the Ohio Country"; Little Lake
Theatre productions: Billy in "The Rise and
Fall of Little Voice", Dr. Seward in "Dracula"
and Joe Farkas in "The Last Night of Ballyhoo"
and Cliff in the 2000 Outstanding Pittsburgh
New Works Festival production of "Doofus". Additional
favorite roles include Dr. Bird in The Theatre
Factory's production of :"The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial";
Gregory in Chatham College's production of Shaw's
"Overruled", Andrew in "I Hate Hamlet" for Greensburg
Civic Theatre and Sir Toby Belch in Shakespeare's
"Twelfth Night".
His directing credits include: the highly
praised "The Mystery of Irma Vep" for Grand
Dream Productions, George Bernard Shaw's "The
Devil's Disciple" for Freeport Theatre Festival;
South Park Theatre's acclaimed productions of
"Out of Order", "Table Manners", "A Month of
Sundays " and "Last of the Red Hot Lovers",
"The Subject was Roses" for The Theatre Factory;
"The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told" for Provoke
Theatre Project, "Not Lightly Chosen" for Pitt
Greensburg, "Disposable Gods (which he also
wrote)" for Gemini Theater and several plays
for the Pittsburgh New Works Festival including
the award-winning "Virgin Rock." Chris teaches
C.C.D. with his wife, Melanie, to seventh grade
students at St. Joan of Arc in South Park.
He
has also appeared in such films as "Inspector
Gadget", "10th and Wolf", "Blue Myst Road" and
"Close to Closure."
