The mission of Prime Stage is to entertain, educate, and enrich families, students, and educators in the discovery of live theatre and literature. We accomplish this by producing adaptations of literature drawn from middle and high school reading lists, new plays, and other works which celebrate young people and adults.
We are passionate about creating high-quality experiences that are affordable and accessible. Through educational programs and the Theatre Mentor Program, Prime Stage provides opportunities for middle and high school students to participate in the creation and presentation of live theatre.
With education being a cornerstone of our mission and vision, Prime Stage offers several unique programs for educators and home school families that encourage adolescents to attend the theatre, participate in the creative process, and read the literature. We invite you to visit our Education pages, the Technical Theatre Mentor Page, the Teen Advisory Board, and the Support pages of this website.
As
our region’s theatre that enlightens and educates, as well as a theatre
that entertains, we: Prime
Stage produces programs that entertain and enrich the lives of
